That's how it's been since racing began and will be for the forseeable future. It's great if everyone could come in and the teams would fully fund the rides and the world would be all great and perfect.but it's not. I don't know what the whole thing encompasses but I bet you it teaches the young drivers the in and outs and finances of just keeping an Indycar ride. This is the reason in recent years both F2 and the Road to Indy have created what is essentially classes to teach how to find funding and keep it. He admitted that he was a sort of ignorance to himself and the effort needed to step into Indycar. I sound like a broken record when I say this but I remember what Matt Brabham said when he was going through the Road to Indy ladder. It's also up the junior drivers to find funding.
